We need your help!
Do you long to be part of something of inter-generational importance? Want to make new friends and challenge yourself? Maybe just an excuse to get out in the bush. Or maybe you want to hear more birdsong in your own garden.
Whatever your skills, availability, and time-frame, the Haakarimatas can use your help! We're a small, friendly, grassroots group inspiring and learning from each other, while working towards something we believe is deeply important for generations to come. Join us for a one-off working-bee planting trees or pulling weeds, or sign up as an individual or group to maintain a trap line. Happier in a cafe than in the mud? We need help engaging with funders, managing online records, and teaching people about the value of te taiao. Even visiting the famous Hakarimata stairs, and keeping an eye and ear out for rare species is useful. Just let us know what you see!
